My Family (Carlos Liscano)

My family (from Carlos Liscano).

In this country, children are sold. We sell one when it’s hard to finish the month or when you need a new fridge. Sometimes they are also bought, for example to make a family celebration. The narrator tells his story, from the little boy his parents did not put on the market because he was not beautiful, to the man he became and who naturally began selling his father. One goes through this history treated with cocassery and tenderness while admiring the virtuosity of an author who takes us from the narrative text to the theatre without expecting it.
